One of photography’s best-known makes is returning

Don't forget the Kodak Instamatic? Unless you’re a young child, you almost definitely do, and with valid reason: for many years it turned out – combined with Polaroid – your world’s most recognisable quick camera. And now it’s ever coming back.

But probably not from the first form you’d suppose. As we heard a week ago, Kodak has qualified its branding to be used in any photography-centric smartphone that'll be designed and manufactured through the British-based Bullitt Collection.

Yes, that’s correct: a phone.

Most of us don’t know the specs yet, but we can say for certain that the phone will operate on Android and so it will let end users “take great pics and edit, share, store and print them within an instant”.

The phone is going to be officially launched on CES 2015, which in turn starts on 6th January, and is going to be followed by more Kodak-branded products from the second half on the year: a 4G device, a tablet and a connected camera.
